The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation
On May 16th, 2007 The Wiggles released their Wiggle and Learn CD and DVD “Getting Strong” throughout Australia! In the special features section, Dorothy the Dinosaur speaks with Gotha, an Indigenous Elder in Warramiri. Gotha, comes from Gawa on Elcho Island in the Northern Territory. The first Warramiri Literacy Course was delivered in February this year. It was an outstanding success.
The Warramiri language is now available on the DVD for all to share!
The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) is an independent tax-deductible charity (DGR), dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia.
